Good Samaritan Fund: Founded in 1993, thanks to the help of a special client with a big heart, the Good Samaritan Fund has helped many families and pets in need. All donations are used to help our patients and clients with urgent cases during times of hardship.
If you would like to donate to our Good Samaritan Fund to help needy cats and dogs in our community, please contact any team member.
ANAW: At the Africa Network for Animal Welfare their focus is the humane treatment of all animals for human welfare. We choose to align ourselves with this wonderful organization because they, too, promote the understanding and appreciation that animals are sentient beings. Cesar Chavez Day: The team at The Center for Animal Wellness is proud to honor the civil rights leader's legacy by participating in Colorado's Cesar Chavez Day of Service and Learning.
In 1962, Cesar Chavez founded the first successful farm workers' union in American history. He led the historic non-violent movement for farm worker rights and dedicated himself to building a movement of poor working people. To commemorate Chavez's life and legacy, the Governor's Commission on Community Service has launched a statewide effort promoting the Cesar Chavez Day of Service and Learning.
In honor of this Day of Service and Learning, The Center for Animal Wellness partners with The Coalition for the Homeless to provide various free services, including exams, heartworm tests, and vaccines to patients in need.
